After years in the States, Ruby comes back to Taiwan to clean out her mother’s room. The space still hums with what was left behind — betel nut stains, old notes stuck to the wall, and a lot of silence. As she moves through the room, pieces of her mother start to surface, absences start to fill up — reminders, letters, the life she never talked about. The film drifts between memory and routine, between what’s said and what stays unsaid. It’s about the kind of love that doesn’t look like love until it’s gone.
